Bad Day for Les Shand

Recovering from a recent bout of bronchitis, Les from Mosstodloch put on a brave face to qualify 21st and was doing well in the race, moving steadily up through the pack and was at 18th position when the accident happened approaching the Woodcote Chicane.
Suffering a broken collar-bone and internal bruising, this puts his hopes of entering the NW200 into question.

On a high note from the weekend, 19 year old Kev Coghlan had a superb weekend, finishing a very very close 2nd in the 125GP race at Silverstone and moving him into the lead in the Championship.
